Compass Box Ultramarine The Extinct Blends Quartet 700ml

As the first release in the Extinct Blends Quartet, a series of four whiskies that reimagine some of the most famous blended whiskies from the past, Compass Box's limited-edition blended whisky Ultramarine was bottled in July 2022. Ultramarine blends malt whiskies from Caol Ila and Glendullan with grain whiskies from Cameronbridge and Girvan, among other sources, to embrace traditional sherry flavour and ethereal peatiness.

In addition to notes of toasted pecans, raisins, Chantilly cream, stewed apples, gingerbread, dried fruit, clove, and rich smoke throughout the tongue and lingering in the finish, the nose is filled with aromas of honey, polished oak, toffee, vanilla custard, and rich peat smoke.
